Xinzhou Resistance Welder

Ningbo Xinzhou builds resistance welding machines and dedicated production lines for steel grating, reinforcing mesh, trusses and IBC frames. Send drawings of your smallest, largest and hardest part before asking for a price, because the feeding, electrodes and line layout all follow from the workpiece.

What Xinzhou builds

Xinzhou is a Ningbo company that designs and produces resistance welding equipment. Its homepage splits the range in two. One side is automated production lines for named jobs: steel grating, IBC frames, reinforcing mesh and reinforcing trusses. The other side is smaller resistance machines, which the company introduction lists as spot, projection, butt and seam welders.

Each of these suits a different workpiece and a different way of feeding it. A mesh line handles long wires laid in two directions, a grating line handles bearing bars and crossbars, and a frame line joins tube sections in a fixed order. A stand-alone spot welder is one station that your operators load by hand. Choose the family first, then the model. The GWC-3200-C mesh line has its own page with the published model data, and those figures belong to that machine and configuration alone.

Xinzhou also appears on a Haishu District list of engineering and technology centres published in 2017, which records a centre dated 2014. It lets you tie the name on a Xinzhou quotation to a registered Ningbo company.

02

Describe the parts and how material arrives

Open a line enquiry with a dimensioned part family. Give the smallest and largest product, member thickness, material grade and the tolerances your customers hold you to. For reinforcing mesh, state the longitudinal and transverse wires, the pitch, the overhang and whether wire comes in coils or cut lengths. For grating, describe the bearing bars, crossbars, panel width and the joint pattern you need. For IBC frames, set out the order in which the sections go together.

Then describe what happens on either side of the weld. Straightening, cutting, loading, alignment, trimming, stacking and inspection often set the real pace of a line. Ask Xinzhou to mark which of these steps the quote covers, which stay manual and which need extra equipment. With that map in hand, a machine cycle figure stops being confused with the output of the whole system.

03

Plan electrodes, tooling and utilities with the machine

A resistance weld comes from three things working together: how the parts touch, how the electrodes reach them and the control sequence. Give Xinzhou the joint stack and the electrode access for each joint so it can size the machine for your quotation. A transformer or current figure alone tells you little about whether the joint will hold. Mention any coating or oil on the incoming material, because your trial pieces should match what arrives at the plant.

Ask for the electrical supply, cooling water and compressed air the quoted configuration needs. Find out how electrode wear is spotted and dressed, and how the tooling changes between sizes. When a wide panel takes many welds at once, ask how alignment and pressure stay even from one side to the other. These details differ from model to model in the catalogue, so get them for the exact machine you are buying.

04

Measure output as accepted parts

Count output as good parts leaving the line over an agreed period. A weld cycle number can leave out loading, wire replenishment, size changes and inspection. Ask Xinzhou for a process sequence that shows how many operators the line needs and where the buffers sit. If your business runs short batches, put a hard size change into the demonstration.

Log stoppages, rejected joints and handling losses next to the running cycle. For long mesh or grating panels, time the lifting and stacking along with the welding itself. Hold every bidder to the same input material and the same definition of output, so the rates on each quote describe the same thing. A published rate becomes something you can plan around once the line has met it on your material under the agreed test.

05

Agree how joints and panels will be judged

Pick sample parts that carry the normal spread in your incoming stock and fit-up. Clean, ideal pieces flatter any machine. Work with your engineers to choose the joint-strength and dimensional checks. On a panel, check single joints and the geometry of the finished panel. On a frame, look at how locating and welding add up across the completed assembly.

Settle the sample quantity, test method, gauges and the person who signs the result. File the process settings and electrode details with the parts you accept, so the line can be set back to them later. If the end product falls under a regulated standard, the people responsible for that product set the acceptance procedure, and Xinzhou's line has to pass it.

06

Installation, training and spares

Treat a production line as an installation in your plant. Decide who prepares foundations, utilities, lifting access and guarding, who commissions the line and how operators are trained. Ask for layout drawings that show access for changing electrodes, finding faults and clearing misfed wire or bar.

Agree a starter set of spare electrodes, sensors and feed parts, and ask for controller backups and manuals in a language your team reads. Put remote help, site visits and travel costs into the contract.

07

Confirm before ordering

Have Xinzhou put the following on the final project quotation: current production capacity, delivery time, the certificates that apply to your machine, and how far its service support reaches in your country. Add the utility and tooling specification for the selected model, the list of included and excluded line stations, and the output definition used in the trial. With those in writing, the offer can be compared line by line against other bids.

Compare the published product scope

Product families serve different tasks. Use the configuration and acceptance questions to request a quotation for the same work.

Buyer questions

Does a line rate equal finished panels per shift?

Only if it counts loading, replenishment, size changes and inspection. Ask Xinzhou what the figure includes, then measure good output over a set period in the trial.

Can I use the GWC-3200-C figures for another Xinzhou line?

Those figures describe that model and its configuration. Ask for a dated specification for any other mesh or grating line you consider.

What should my first message to Xinzhou contain?

Part drawings with sizes and member layout, the condition of incoming material, your output target and the acceptance tests. With that pack Xinzhou can propose a line scope you can price.

Is Xinzhou on any official list?

Yes. The Haishu District list of engineering and technology centres, published in 2017, names Ningbo Xinzhou with a 2014 centre. It helps you check the company name. Ask for machine certificates separately. [2]
