Prepare your welding enquiry
Prepare a useful brief before contacting equipment manufacturers.
Start with the application
Describe your workpiece, material, thickness, joint and production requirements. The request form accepts a technical document as supporting information. Include the exact model or drawing revision so the recipient can identify the configuration under discussion.
Separate process and power requirements
Choose the welding process you need and state the input electrical supply. Keep welding output current separate from laser power. If you include duty cycle, include its reference current and temperature from the source document.
Ask about the actual configuration
Confirm included equipment, compatibility, documentation, lead time and support directly during the sourcing conversation. Published ranges describe a model family, so confirm that your exact configuration is available.
Make quotations comparable
Separate the base machine, tooling, consumables, software, installation and training in your request. Ask each supplier to identify the included items, optional items and exclusions, together with the document revision used to describe the equipment. Record unanswered questions instead of filling them with estimates.
Define how you will assess the offer
Provide representative drawings or sample requirements and ask the supplier what demonstration or acceptance checks it proposes. Clarify who supplies fixtures, electrical connections, cooling and any factory interfaces. Keep the proposed evaluation criteria separate from claims already supported by published model documents.
Keep the communication trail
Use a consistent company and model reference in the request. Save the supplier response and any revised configuration so that a later quotation can be compared with the same workpiece and delivery scope. An enquiry through this site asks for information; an order needs a quotation you accept.
